Ancient Door

I'm having trouble opening the Ancient Door, it doesn't want to open no matter what I do.

i found it as well. couldnt find anything on google or youtube about it, so i couldnt open it either

I also had trouble opening the door. I tried killing mobs in front of the door but nothing occurred upon their deaths. I also did light the torches for nothing to happen. No clue on how to open it.

Just to clarify without spoiling anything, the door is NOT bugged!

I don't know what to do my friend and I have found multiple and our best guess is you need a hammer. Our only remaining guess is to hit it with a hammer but neither of us built hammer so we are going to find one and try it

hittting with a hammer doesn't do anything. just tried it

I have some theories on how to open but haven’t tested yet.
1- you can only open if you a certain hammer/ hammer ability
2- removing the torch that is at the entrance
3-You can only open if you have activated previous altars
Things that I tried that don’t work:
Removing all your equipment to enter (linda like elden ring).
Using V to say cave crawlers to open the door.
Hitting the door with hammer.
Clearing the whole floor to open the door.

It is not bugged.

1. maybe it has to do with the 50% beard size bc on the door it looks like a specific beard
2. maybe you have to use the new pickaxe to open it

but under the 50% beard size in the patch the character has the same beard as the door and the starting touch and the new pick

I found an item called: Bloody Note

Me and my friend have ran out of ideas on how to open the Ancient Door, we will keep trying, but the only new thing we found in the Crystal Caverns is the bloody note, and that didn't really help us figure out how to open the door. Could we have anymore hints on how to open the door? Sorry if we're asking for too much.

I have played 42 hours of Cave Crawlers in the past two weeks

We are just gonna go to floor 100 because we don't have any other idea, there might be a secret quest we haven't unlocked yet, that might be how we open the door.

If you drop a polearm right next to the door, it will king of pierce the door so that might have to do something with opening it.
