will having kids be optional? (hayden date spoilers (?))

hi, idk if it was already stated somewhere, but as the title suggests, will i be forced to have kids if i marry a character? yesterday i took hayden on a date, and he said that he dreams of having a family, so i wondered about it. i don't want to ever have kids; i don't even like having kids in video games, so it's nice when it is totally optional, like in skyrim (i can't think of another game, sorry). like i'd LOVE to marry him; he is so hubby material, but i only want there to be three of us (with henrietta). hope i'm not alone in thinking about it if it wasn't stated anywhere. <3

Doubt they force us to have kids ingame. It goes against anything of this genre. Other games of this genre won't force you either to have kids. The only exception to this are a couple of older japanese farming sims that have kids inbuilt into their special epilouges.
