The numbers don't mean anything. You telling people who actually have and play the game and see the content that the number means there's been no content updates
Honestly, I say this with compassion, but you need to chill out. The latest update a month ago is literally titled the "Second Major Update". The patch notes, if you read them, contain many things that would constitute an update in the gaming world: a new questline, a new biome, a new area, new features including pets, and many new mechanics. Even just one or two of these things by themselves could comfortably classify as an "update" for pretty much any game! The content says it's an update. The name says it's an update. You, personally, are more than welcome to decide it doesn't count as an update because of the numbering system being used, but everyone else is also more than welcome to call it an update.
Again, I say this with a lot of compassion and experience: I know it's frustrating when other people don't think as literally as you do and when things aren't operating the way that they maybe objectively "should". It's hard for some people not to "care" when they see things happening that they think are "wrong". I'm not going to pathologise or make suggestions for how to help with this impulse as they may be condesending, but I do understand and empathise. I can see how the numbering system is frustrating you. The fact of the matter is, it doesn't matter how you or anyone else feels about the wording being used, the game received a bunch of new content in one hit last month, and the original poster was simply asking when the next time that will happen might be.
Noticed you going around with that same "opinion" of yours in several threads.
But... you are trolling, right? Please tell me you are. I don't want to lose my remaining faith in humanity :/
@Topic:
We have a relatively recent road map, but thats it. If you look at the news page of the game, you should find everything that we know^^
So will you be okay when it hits 1.0 without ever seeing a 0.2 because that is likely to happen. There's maybe a couple major updates left before it hits 1.0 at an average rate of 1 every 3 months. So there might be a 0.15 or 0.16 but it's not making it to 0.2 or higher. Might be a bit over exactly a year from launch but likely before year's end.
Will it be okay once it's 1.0 or will it be an empty unfinished game just because it skipped numbers 0.2-0.9?
Second Major Release --> March 10, 2025 v0.13.0
Third Major Release --> Awaiting word from the wonderful developers of this wonderful game to give us wonderful news about the next wonderful update. No rushing allowed :)
Their version system is not that hard to figure out. Let's use the latest version and break it down.
v0 = in early release
.13 = Major updates. The next major update will likely be .14
.0 = Bug fix patches. We are currently on .3
This is what I observed anyway.
Damn, you... were serious, huh?
I honestly, geniunely, thought you were trolling.
We are currently in the stage of Zero.Thirteen
That is very different from Zero.OneThree
https://fieldsofmistria.wiki.gg/wiki/Version_History
As you can see, the game launched into Early Access with the game version "v0.11.3" or "pre-release version 11 3rd patch".
After several patches and updates we now are at "v0.13.3" or "pre-release version 13 3rd patch".
This means, we've had 2 updates and a lot more patches.
Didn't think there were people that didn't know/understand that, sorry for thinking you are a troll :)
Afraid your the one that can't seem to handle the facts. Version numbers are not standardized and developers use what works best for them, It is quite obvious that the developers of Fields of Mistria are using a version system that I have stated. I do not believe there will ever be a 0.2.0, 0.3.0, 0.4.0, 0.5.0, 0.6.0, 0.7.0, 0.8.0 or 0.9.0. I believe we can expect 0.14.0, 0.15.0, (maybe a 0.16.0) and then 1.0.0. So how about stopping with the rude comments Mr. or Ms. Troller.
