When it's done and when it's done, respectively. The devs have said they plan to stay in Early Access for about a year (which would set the release for Q3 2025) but if that means releasing a blatantly unfinished 1.0 game like Coral Island, I hope they stay in Early Access longer than that.

You'll get 25-30 hours of gameplay for the price right now (and be insulated against future price increases), so I'd say it's a tepid recommendation if that's what you _really_ want to find out here. With no further improvement whatsoever it's already a solid 6.5 or 7 out of 10, but they have a LOT of room to earn three more points on that rating scale.

I say the sooner that the game releases on Consoles the better! After the game fully releases to version 1.0 then people can play the game as the developers push updates! I usually doesn't purchase early access games or any game on steam that is going to release on a Console!
People can play the game now right here on Steam, and it's got low system requirements so just about any computer can run it.

There is an expectation around any game calling itself "1.0", and there's still a big difference between "updates while they're still in open beta" and "unfinished game they have to support after the fact". Even the price reflects that.

Let's not encourage more rushed releases like Coral Island, please. It's not good for gaming as an industry and it's anti-consumer.

Understandable but there is no guarantee it will come to consoles. They basically said they might consider it once it reaches 1.0. not that it will happen or that they currently plan to.

"Q: WHAT PLATFORMS IS FOM AVAILABLE ON?

Fields of Mistria is currently available for Windows PC and is also Steam Deck compatible.

We are currently focused on bringing the game to its 1.0 release on PC, and will evaluate potential ports at a future time. Please keep an eye on our website for any future announcements!|"

That is your opinion and and I disagree with it and tons of other players disagree with your too, that is why countless games are released in the same way that Coral Island was! People don't have to share your opinion! If people want to encourage a rushed release then they have the right to do so!

Understandable but in my opinion if a Steam game can't make it to a Console then that just proves that the game is no good and that the game is no worth playing!

There's some truth to that. I'm sure the main reason it's worded that way is, if they get enough sales to cover the expense of porting it and enough interest from console players to make it worth their while. Groups with larger teams and more funds from the start are more likely to port earlier.

There are sometimes great games that don't get much attention though and don't make it to being ported. A lot depends on marketing more than how good the game is, at least sometimes.
