Would be amazing if our OCs could have their own portrait in game!

I haven't ever seen it done in any game except maybe a mod but I would LOVE to see it happen.

Just seeing our own characters portrait while chatting up other NPCs would feel so immersive.

I was thinking the same thing but I would have no idea how they could implement that, especially with our ability to switch cosmetics at any time/them adding new ones. if they did like "a simplified version" we won't have access to change things like skin/eyes/hair - I would assume, I have no idea how to make a game lol

I think some sort of character creator with some set expressions. Happy, sad, blushing, etc.
There's a portrait creator for stardew that's similar but I think it could be even better than that with more options, so this way you could actually change the skin and eyes since ideally it would be all separate layers.

For the clothes I realize it'd be a bit extensive to have all those cosmetics so maybe just a seasonal set of outfits would work and some accessories?

I don't know how to make a game either but seeing everyone's portrait rendition on the subreddit really made me wish this was a feature in the game.
