Skipping Bathtub Scene > Soft locked until end of day

I attempted to skip the Bath Tub entry scene as I was excited to get to the mines. After hitting 'Esc' it played the 'Dozo hopes you have a great day' message and then showed the bath, but I was inside the water still, able to swim around.

Clicking the 'Free Location' button in accessibility did not do anything, if i had to guess the inside of the bath is coded as a player area but has a solid border around it. The game did not appear to think I was in a non-free space. Ended up restarting my day as any other attempts did not let me out - tried for 10 minutes or so.
