starting from scratch.. with pets
Worried that I will have to start from scratch to unlock pets after the release comes out. Do you think we will have to start from scratch or will they somehow be embedded into the game when we update?

I doubt people with current saves won't be able to get pets without starting over. Devs seem to be mindful of keeping saves compatible with updates.
