You can give birthday gift TWICE

I wonder if anyone has noticed this..

I tried to give Hayden his birthday gift but it was too late (after midnight, and he didn't recognize it as birthday gift but only normal gift).
I don't know how it should be (like in other games), but.. after it happened to me, on the next NPC's birthday, I tried giving birthday gift the day before, but after midnight.. for example on Celine's birthday = Summer 14.

(Actually I tried first on Balor's birthday Summer 10 however he's already maxed out so I couldn't measure his relationship meter)

So, on Summer 13 time 00:00 (midnight before Summer 14), I gave her hydrangeas, she said thank you for the birthday present. I checked her profile, her relationship points added up, then the gift option also became checked.
Then, I went to sleep. The next day Summer 14 morning, I found out that her gift option had become UNCHECKED. But her relationship points were recorded. Then I got her another gift: crystal rose and she thanked me again for the birthday present. Then, the gift option becomes checked.

I think this is something that the developer missed.. I can give her 2 birthday gifts, so it kind of help me rise her relationship faster (I checked that "loved" birthday gifts can rise relationships a little higher than normal day "loved" gift).
