Good luck buddy !
just a note : I understand frustration, but calling something "impossible" or "a bug" just because you don't know where to look isn't really productive. The only thing to fix is your lack of knowledge, I hope this thread solved it.
Appreciate the passive aggression, but it most certainly is NOT pretty common. A simple google search on your end will show that many players are not able to find this thing easily.
Can't it be made purchaseable from Balor once you reach a certain mining level?
Edit: Eventually got one by grinding levels in the cave. However when I caught it it wasn't ticked as donated to the museum, thought I'd mention that in case it's any help. At this point I'd rather sacrifice one item on the museum checklist than be stuck without advancing ingame though.
what are you talking about lol, I have given answer on where to find them and been expressly supportive. Also shared my own experience on finding them.
I would say regularly getting a couple means pretty common. you are free to disagree but I stand by that definition. Especially when a couple is all you need (one for the museum and another for the mine offering).
While it's true that OP could have done a "google search" on the topic, some people prefer asking on forums. If you are not interested in answering them then don't answer but the toxicity isn't needed. It's the whole point of forums to do exactly what OP did and ask questions, why even be here if you are not interested in forum discussions ? a mystery to me.
So, you didn't help OP in any way but just came to be aggressive towards people who help OP and are supportive to them and you dare calling these people aggressive, This is my last answer to this nonsense because I don't see any other utility but "trolling" or "flamebait" or whatever it's called these days.
But "rare" and 'nonexistent" are two different beasts, and having done a playthrough on both the August initial build and the fall update and run into a similar issue—having to run those 20 levels of the mines too often for it to feel right to get one for the unlock and another for the museum—I do agree that the devs need to buff the spawn rate of that moth specifically. Hopefully it's addressed in the patch notes for the March update.
