Help with leveling woodworking?
It's there a better way than just making thousands of fence posts? 😭

The material requirements for most of the higher level items are kinda tough to meet, and they don't really seem to give much more xp.

Maybe I'm missing something?

If you have animals (like sheep or rabbits) and store their products, you can make Fluffy Rugs. I leveled up my crafting skill in a day this way. However, if your skill is at a lower level, you’ll need to level up using recipes available to you at your current level and materials you already have.

Easiest way are the Faux recipes you get from the Ornamental farming perk. You do need to reach 16 woodworking first. I went from 16 to 45 in like two game days thanks to that, and made a lot of profit too, since I don't like selling unprocessed crops, while crafting the ornamental versions adds some value and has a chance of infusions or extras.

Oohhh. These are all awesome ideas! I will try them out and mark an answer!

I'll add some fluffy critters to my barn!

I never could figure out the point of the Faux recipes. and even turned the ability off. I will turn it back on. For science!

Ornate flagstones sound legit easy to build. I WILL BUILD THEM ALL!

Thanks so much!

The nice thing about your suggestion is that I immediately have materials laying around I can use to do this.

I had 57 shells, which got me up to level 33 from like 20ish right off the bat.

The downside is stones are actually pretty useful for seed, hey, enchantment stones, building upgrades, etc. 10 stones per craft kinda wiped out my stone reserves, and I have been trying to build up.

It is nice to finally have a use for those shells. I think this is going to be a nice addition to leveling up, but it doesn't really feel like a good grind. In the long term or if I start a new game, I think I will craft those shells into ornate flagstones regularly for a nice consistent flow of xp.

I super appreciate the suggestion!

Edit: I do got to say, hitting level 30 unlocked some great perks at the dragon statue. Double mat drops at mine!? Did I read that right? lmao

Second Edit: It doubles drops from *breakable* objects. 😭 Still a bunch of good abilities though.
