Fastest ways to gain renown?
I got Dragon Breath (so I've got those automation machines), and I've been grinding, but I just want to get to Level 55! I'm currently at 50.

I've just been getting as much gold ore as I can in a day, smelting that into gold tools, and selling them.

Are there other good (or better?) ways to gain renown? The mines are getting a bit monotonous

Selling crops is fastest IMHO. If you are just grinding rep plant an overwhelming number of the crops that keep producing every 3 days. Like strawberries, corn, wheat, snow peas. If you do 288 corn in summer, roast them then sell them, your rep will go nuts.

Plus you get a bunch of rejuvenating roasted corn to keep for energy. If you disable the other food buffs you'll probably get 30 - 70 rejuvenating roasted corn per harvest.

sell the harvest, but it has to be a lot, i planted 1008 and every time i sell it, my town rank goes up 4-6 levels, and it makes a lot of money, of course it has to be done slowly and gradually, bcs u have to find capital to buy the seeds.
after i managed to get a lot of money, then i decorated my garden, house, etc, i didn't even need to look for forageables, wood, stone, (except mine product), bcs u can just buy it. hahaha i am a capitalist.
but this method not recommended for people who like to enjoy the game slowly ^^

I am amused I gave a pretty similar answer mere moments before you. 😂

I like that you can legitimately do a full economy playthrough and just buy everything, or pay slower and do more foraging. Both play styles work great.

Thanks! Yeah I've been looking through the cooking and crafting catalogs to see if there's anything in there that uses resources that I have a lot of. I'm about to start summer, so I'll plan even more of the crops that keep producing

The most profitable cooking dish is a Roasted rice tea - you need only Tea + Rice with Zero cooking time.

Try "breadmaxxing" -- there's a guide for it on Steam but the basic idea is buying flour from the general store and turning all of it into bread and selling it every day. If you have the cooking skills that sometimes gives you double food or extra ingredients, then you will make about 110% of what you spend each day ime. Less profitable than selling crops but extremely quick, repeatable every day, and not reliant on season, farm space, or stamina. You'll probably need a minimum of 10k gold to start off with if you want to gain at least 1 renown level a day, but the more money you have the more levels you'll gain
