HOW DO I GET FACETED ROCK GEM

im actually going insane how do you get this thing ive been rerunning silver mines for 4 days

You are on the right track - the "Faceted Rock Gem" comes from floors 41-60 from
Artifact spots,
in theory you could reload a floor convenient to the elevator within that range, pick the artifact spots and repeat to increase your chance of finding it. worked for me.

It can be a grind for sure. Took me 3 in game days. Just keep looking for all the archaeology dig spots and eventually it should pop up.

Oh alright thanks for confirming since i thought it might have been from some other thing i wasn't aware of

In case you made the same mistake as me: you gotta look for the dig spots that look like little mounds (which drop artefacts), NOT the cracks (which drop ore).
Caldarus's archaeology upgrades can also make it easier -- Tier 2 "Stoneturner" will make artifacts also drop from breaking rocks, which is a huge help.
