The Tidestone...

guys. chat. i have been hunting down the tidestone in the tide caverns for three seasons now. i haven't even found ONE.
i have EVERY SINGLE mining perk. it is the LAST item i need from the tide caverns aside from the furniture recipes. i have been down to the very bottom of the mines as we have them so far.
is this a glitch? has anyone found this thing?

doesn't seem like a glitch, this is a common experience a lot of people are having with the tidestone. the drop just seems super rare / unlucky. it's also the last thing i need in my museum collection.

i have about 60 hours and i've only found one - which i gave to Dozy for a board request. all i can say as a fellow tidestone andy is good luck!

It's definitely just the luck of the draw. It was literally one of the last items I was missing - and then around 60 hours in I didn't find just one, but actually 3 on the same floor. I guess the game decided to have pity on me lol. Needless to say I gave the first to Dozy (Dozy always deserves the first of everything tbh), donated the second, and I kept the third stone just in case something else comes up that requires one.

While it won't magically give you a tide stone, I can give some advice at least since you asked for some. I personally would start at floor 25 to avoid wasting time (both the extra 10 to 20 minutes rushing to floor 21 and because, idk about anyone else, but I never seem to find any artifacts on the first 4 floors of any mine region) and then proceeded to break any rock, smash any crate and uncover any artifact spot I could find. Keep going until midnight, clamber back up and try again.

had exactly the same issue, found 1 early in my playthrough and donated it to the museum. Played until I hit about 95 hours of gameplay and never found a second one for Dozy. Rage-posted about this issue on the discussion forum, and the same day, literally found FIVE that afternoon while running the tide caverns. I promise you're not alone, it's incredibly frustrating :(
Do you have the skill boost that can occasionally drop an artifact if you break a stone? That will help your chances. And totally agree with @silentgrace7's comment above, just grind everything because it potentially could be anywhere with that skill boost.
