Sudden Small Screen

I've noticed that every time I step away from my laptop for a bit and it goes to sleep or when I switch out of the game, it would suddenly change to a very small screen. The game is still functional except for the fact it's so small and the mouse wouldn't really highlight the things I want it to so I'm left using just the keys to go to save and restart the game. I didn't do anything different in my settings for it to trigger this. It's getting very frustrating :(

Is there any way to help fix this? Is anyone experiencing the same thing?

i experience the same thing and i don't know how to fix it! i figured there's probably some setting somewhere to change this, but it's a little frustrating and IDK what to do either. it makes it hard to step away or go AFK

I'm having the same issue, I tried changing some settings and so far the only thing that has worked is if I keep the display as "windowed" instead of full screen or borderless.

Have played for 4 hours and Im also experimenting the same issue, I usualy just alt f4 it, as the mouse wont let me pick anything

I know what you mean, I've got the exact same issue as well.
Hopefully it gets fixed with the next updates since this is still early access and all.

I have found that if the game main menu does not allow you to use the mouse to make selections, you can use arrow keys or W,A,S,D to navigate the button selections on the menu. The E key is how you execute selections and then choosing borderless within the display settings will allow you to play the game in your native display resolution.

I am having this happen to. I also just happened after I tried to take a screenshot of the whole window. It also happens if I'm away for too long and my computer goes to sleep. I cannot fix it without saving my game and then exiting to reopen. I just recently update the game and am still having this issue.

I tried using the WASD keys, but it won't let me to go to the fullscreen settings option.

Has anyone figured this out?

I just had the same issue. Looks like it hasn't been fixed yet. I tried saving the game in at the little book in my house but that didn't work unfortunately. I'll have to redo the whole day.. I should have let it run out of time instead..

So i also just had this issue myself, and fun fact! If you change the controls to make things more intuitive for yourself, you have to alt-f4, because navigating the menu with such a large cursor is impossible!
