Tools and energy conservation
I love this game, and I will carry on playing when it's fully released, You can tell how much love and attention to detail has gone into it and it really helps to make it immersive but i feel that some of the mechanics and economics need tweaking.

Tools
Upgrades are easy to craft which is GREAT! but it doesn't feel worth it when I water my plants and a third of m stamina depletes. The upgraded Axe just doesn't makes sense with the lay out of trees, and the pickaxe is variable depending on rock layout and then often frustrating when it doesn't break all the rocks. Given that cooking is the one of the est ways to make money it follows that one needs to be able to grow more. If you do that then you need to eat so much of what you make that it's frustratingly almost not worth it.

Animal products
I feel like these are a bit stingy, it's a heavy investment to get animals and takes a long long time to repay that in products, even longer if you don't let your animals out every day, pet them, feed them by hand and then put them back, (with getting enough food for them being a whole other kettle of fish!)

I do love the skill ups, but by the end of the alpha I had bought them all and had a couple thousand xp spare so maybe it would be worth turning these down to really make us focus on our play style.

I don't know if it's me or the game but some crops that you can buy or forage are so rare that making larger numbers of higher end cooked items is really hard.

Contrary to what I have seen others say I have found the walking speed and day/night cycle perfect. You can forage almost the entire map in one day if you really optimise your route.

Overall this is a game of great promise and very engaging already. I would love to see optimisation and rebalancing tweaks happen, and I hope that with unlocking areas like the woods that other smaller secrets and easter eggs start crawling out of the woodwork as the fan base explores the whole world! I am regularly checking this game for updates in eager anticipation, and can't wait for the full release in november!

Personally I think the tools are more or less fine the way they are. There's still two entire upgrade tiers we don't have access to yet, and it's very likely sprinklers, or some kind of magical equivalent, will get added eventually.

I can't speak to the value of animal products, my game has been bugged for weeks and they don't produce anything. That being said, money is so trivially easy to make once you have the perk that gives you a chance for harvested crops to drop cooked dishes, that I kept raising them anyway.

Hopefully a lot of the issues you spoke of will be addressed in the full release, as we'll have access to better upgrades and presumably more skills.

One thing regarding those I would like to see, it would be neat if Celine could help you with cultivating seeds for the foraging plants. There's a skill that gives you seeds from harvesting but at a very low rate, it's gotta be somewhere between 5 and 10%. Having a permanent source for them isn't totally necessary, but the option would be nice.
