I think you need to put the animals into holding at the old bachelors place

Oh! I believe you need to put any animals that may be inside into the daycare at Hayden's farm and then interact with I THINK it's the board at the front of the barn/coop to demolish it. It'll give you the materials back and let you move/rebuild, and then you can put the animals back in.
