TOO MANY SNAPPING TURTLES

i'm desperately trying to catch the last winter pond fish for the museum and all I'm getting are snapping turtles!!! i genuinely think they should turn down the spawn rate or something

Finally found not just one, but TWO alligator gar on the last day of winter. My advice, refresh until you get a fishing spot (one of the swarms of tiny fish that stays in place after a catch or two) and try that, thats how I got mine. Somewhat convinced that its bugged atm

Having the same issue. Just started my second year so having to catch stuff for spring that I missed. Basically missing the entire pond set and I have found maybe ONE out of 5 in 30 catches. All of them freaking snapping turtles or koi!! wtf! could be a bug?? The spawn rate is pretty atrocious and on top of that fishing takes so much time... I'm only level 22 on year two
