Milling Skill
Absolutely loving this game, have sunk nearly 30 hours into it since launch. My one request probably would be a "milling" skill, I'd love to bring the recipe time down for things made in the mill and potentially get some other perks. Also not sure how we're milling mayonnaise and cheese, but that's me being picky. 😅

I agree, I would love to see them either lower the timer like they do with other skills/crafting tables. Would also like if they let you buy feed for your animals, I would have bought at a higher cost just please! I hated wasting a ton of time on milling. (Yes, you can feed your animals cooked dishes later after unlocking the skill at level 30, making milling not needed
I know.)

I wish someone would make a mod to somehow reduce the milling speed

I agree with this as well! It would make it easier to make artisan goods if either we could get it as a skill and level it up, and/or possibly getting our own mill later on in the game.

Honestly another good alternative would be to just let us put things in the mill and then let us walk away and come back later to get things.

Milling is a form of crafting that wouldn't really require us to stand there and monitor, unlike with cooking and blacksmithing, which would realistically require a lot of attention.

What I'd prefer is to just drop things in the mill, leave to do other things, and then go back for it. Maybe even get a notification when it is done.

To be fair, it has mostly been like that in other life sims game..you put stuffs inside the smelting machine or keg etc and then just leave them..they will tell you how long it will take for each products to finish..so, you can go and do other things...the cooking and milling cutscenes are cute but after hundreds of time.. it's started to get really annoying especially when there are no options to skip them...

I agree with this, I literally have not touched the mill cause it takes a whole day to make anything, I have a chest with like 200 eggs and tons and tons of milk cause I don't want to waste a whole day making just a few cheese or mayonaise or whatever.

Agreed 100 percent with the OP's take...and I like springfallendeer's alternative as well. Either one would be great, but I do prefer making it a skill because it fits the overall mechanical design of the game better.
