Not always getting animal produce?
So, I realized I'm not always getting eggs or milk from my cows and chickens. Even when fed and petted daily. Is this supposed to happen? Sometimes it goes 2-3 days before I'll get more.

i'm seeing the same, and i expect there's a bug or something i'm not understanding, because every morning i see a 'frustration' icon over my cows' heads, which i think must be impacting their effectiveness. but i don't see any reason that would happen - i only let them outside on sunny days, take them in the night before it rains, and i pet them and hand feed them deluxe animal feed every day (and they have cute hats and a beach ball to play with)

You might want to take them in every single day, otherwise no produce and unhappy.

Same happened to me. My chickens haven't laid eggs in almost an entire season. They are fed everyday, petted and never sleep outside. They're all at least four hearts.

I'm not completely sure either, but I believe not letting them out in the sun and letting them back inside too late might have something to do with it? The few times I didn't get milk, it was either raining the previous day or I was returning from the mines late and had to bring them back in around 11pm.

No, we are letting the animals inside.

I figured out the issue. The most advanced feed which requires acorns is what causes the problem. They'll eat it but they don't produce anything. Once I changed to the second tier feed, it fixed the problem.

Same here, I tried different scenarios: Leaving them outside to feed on their own and sending them inside at the end of the day. Leaving them inside and filling their trough. Both bringing no produce at all.

Only hand feeding and petting helps and that takes up too much time. :(

I'm experiencing the same issue with animal produce - specifically chickens since I've had them long enough to make an observation. I have 2 hens & lay one egg each every day - but would randomly stop producing for one day (both of them). Sometimes they'd lay 2 eggs each in one day - so I got 4 eggs total. I'm not sure if it's normal or a bug? Haven't figured out if there's a pattern to this or not.

It's even more confusing with roosters. I checked the wiki and it says that they drop a feather every 3 days. Welp my 2 roosters haven't dropped a single one for 6 days straight.

+1 My cows stop producing milk for two days. I make sure to return inside. :(

if this helps anyone, i managed to fix this by leaving the effected animals out over night, then feeding them normally the next morning, this seems to reset the flag and the following day they will start producing again.
