Invisible chicken?

My poor chicken Grendel i think hes invisible or just not on this plain of existence anymore. I held him once and he just stopped existing, he still shows up in the animal menu when i pause but when i go looking for him, hes not there. Did i feed him to one of my other chickens? Please come back.
I've not taken him outside and i cannot find him anywhere on my farm, he grew up and i didn't even get to congratulate him. Can the chickens run away like across the map? Chickens float so i'm guessing he didn't drown. Please come back.

I seem to have lost my chicken too! I put it inside one day and the next day I couldn't find it anywhere. The game says its still there as I cannot remove my coop because there's an animal inside but the chicken is nowhere...
I haven't seen anyone else mention the issue either unfortunately

edit: I send my lost chicken to Haydens daycare and then moved it right back into my coop and it showed up again! maybe try that?

Omg, one of my chickens just disappeard, also!! I breeded 2 of my chickens the night prior (not the one who's lost), and then when I went feed them, she was nowhere to be found, could it be related to that? what do I do???

(I read a coment saying to send it to Haydes daycare, if it works I'll edit this comment) -> IT WORKED!! I FOUND MY CHICKEN
