sugarcane seeds?

i wanna grow my own sugarcane to process sugar for cooking. from looking at the mill, it says sugar cane grows in summer. i'm in summer and the seed store doesn't offer any sugarcane seeds.

do these seeds only become available after you do something else?

You need to do a main quest to upgrade the general store.

thanks! i started rushing the main quest and got to it. for anyone else wondering, it appears the general store upgrade quest appears when hitting town rank ruby, after copper

I got the general store upgrade quest and the Inn upgrade quest BEFORE I hit Ruby. I hit a bit of a snag since I hadn't started any ranching before then though.
