Where are the spots I can dig, what do they look like

So I just bought my shovel thought I'd get a chance to start digging, but can't find a dig spot.

There are some that respawn every day at the dig site. Upper right of the map. They're lumps in the dirt. You can also use the pick for digging those spots so you don't have to carry an extra tool around

There is an archaeology site in the Northwest called the Western Ruins. You can use a shovel or pickaxe on the bumps in the site, but there are also grass colored bumps around the map.

The shovel is also to help you dig up grass on your farm to make tillable soil for planting crops.

The dig spots are the larger round bubble looking spots. The smaller bubbles you aren't able to dig with the shovel, only the single larger circles. I've found 3 at the main dig site, one sometimes in the grassy/dirt area before the dig site entrance, one up the first unlock-able staircase above the dig site, and one before the fallen column entering the area.... I may have found a dig spot in a completely different area away from the dig site (I have the memory but it's hazy) so maybe they can be found all over and I just haven't noticed yet. Took me almost all of spring to realize it was the large circles that could be excavated :/

Edit: I've found dig spots all over, not just around the excavation site, including in the mine.
