Is this kind of game easier with a keyboard or a controller?

I'm playing on the ally so I'm using a controller and I think it's fine. Plus, the devs took the time to implement full controller support which I'm finding is becoming rare. I see a lot of games opt to use m&k simulation for controllers or have controller support as a "down the road" thing.

I'm using a Playstation 4 controller and it makes combat waaayyy easier. Unfortunately, moving objects in the game (e.g. from inventory to storage or vice versa) moves the entire stack and I have to use the mouse to select individual items to move. I'm not sure if that's intentional or a bug, but I have yet to figure out how to change it.

Circle moves the entire stack, and I think it's Square that allows me to move one item at once.

My problem is that R2 and L2 dont work, and I dont have enough buttons to make use of all commands.... Also wish pressing certain stuff would move my cursor to Accept/Ok/Donate etx

I have a PS5 controller and R2 is for throwing/dropping whatever item you are holding and L2 is for using magic
