I stick with MSI but they are on the more expensive end. I tried an Asus before but windows doesn't always play well with AMD and it had issues.
You could go used. The goodwill in the city near me has a computer shop. If you don't have that, the computer repair shops also often have used rigs for sale.
New there a MSI with a rtx 1650 for under $600 https://www.amazon.com/MSI-GF63-Thin-10SCXR-222-i5-10300H/dp/B08YRZ2LLJ
But for a bit more you could get a HP RTX 2050 and it could play most any game. https://www.amazon.com/HP-Display-GeForce-Backlit-Keyboard/dp/B0CFSBT85B
