Does rain lag?

Just a few hours into the game. Does rain effect lag or is it some sort of a rainy day speed debuff?
Maybe it just my stardew brain but rain vfx also seem unfinished. It doesn't follow the camera movement and the graphics itself is kind of obstructing all in all it is giving the annoying overlay effect.

Nope, me too actually.
When it rains i have to set the display settings on "Full screen" to reduce the lag and then to "Borderless" again when it's sunny. Otherway is gonna lag too much, hope they're gonna fix it in the 1.0 or sooner
