Fields of Mistria

What Skill was Easiest for You to Level Up? Which the Most Difficult?
For me easiest to hardest:

* Blacksmithing: I processed ore and made equipment as I collected materials from the mine. Was surprised to reach the current level cap before I even began working with silver. I don't think I spent a ton of time in the mines.

* Cooking: This would likely be #1 on the list if I were more interested in socializing earlier in the game and had more motivation to cook. Once I had the resources, it was super easy. Did the last ten levels in one day.

* Ranching: Reached the cap in just over a season.

* Farming: A little bit every day adds up.

*Archaeology

* Mining

* Fishing: I really like that it felt like I needed to work at it to level up this skill.

* Combat

* Woodcrafting: I'm more interested in using wood/stone for quests and doing other things than farming wood, so upgrading this skill kept falling falling to the wayside.

Combat is the only skill not at 30 yet in my playthrough, however I did need to explicitly level fishing from about 23 - 30 and I also made a whole bunch of useless fencing to level crafting, which was basically not moving otherwise.
Archaeology is my top skill

Blacksmithing (just making ingots raises this up quickly)

Mining

Ranching (though I need to recall to get the animals within their barns before going to sleep)

Cooking (though making sure I have the right ingredients is tough. I do like gathering recipes though)

Fishing (much easier than Stardew Valley and trying to get specific fish gives lots of opportunity for practice)

Combat (more from less opportunity than difficulty, and how hard it can be to aim)

Farming (It's always the area I least focus on in game, ironically for a farm sim I know. But I much prefer the mining, socializing, request filling, museum bundle filling, and exploring)

Woodcrafting (I also struggle with this because I'm saving the wood for all the projects around town and have little inclination to create stuff I don't need. I'm not a major decorator)

Same. That and stone paths to get to lvl 15. It's just there are things I'd rather be doing than cutting down trees multiple days in a row that is making getting to lvl 30 a very low priority.
Woodworking is the only skill where I barely use anything related to it. (Which is unfortunate because getting the bonus resource perks earlier in my playthrough would have made completing the town renovation quests less grind-y.)

Since there are so many things to do in games like this, I think it's normal to not engage much with one or more branches. I tend to ignore the social aspect in games like this until I've explored everything else and don't do any of the dating stuff.

I didn't feel much urge to decorate until I got the house upgrade. Before I got the house upgrade though I wanted to unlock thinks with quests. If the perks of the skill weren't so useful, I would have left things at lvl5.

Fishing is the worst. I got everything up to 30 while fishing was at 20. It takes me about 2-3 in game days with constant fishing to get one level. I can't remember what I got to 30 first. The rest are super easy if you spend any time doing them.

I agree that Blacksmithing is easiest skill to lvl up, maybe too easy. Then, Mining as I basically live in mines, after that Farming and Ranching. Cooking is easy, but you need to go out of your way to cook, and I waited till summer so I would have a lot of recipes that I can cook without spending time. Combat is ok, but I hate to engage with most monsters as it's just a waste of time, so unless I need mob drops, I just hop around them(and having full armour set really helps to just ignore what damage you do get occasionally from projectiles). So, that leaves me with Fishing(which I just hate the mechanics of), Archeology (which is actually slow for me for some reason), and Woodworking (which is basically decoration skill, I ignore it, lvl up to 4, so I can craft my own chests and stoped at that)
