Hi Big King, so sorry to hear that. Maybe if you share your system specs i can have a look into it... not saying that you didn't already tried all solutions out there, but since i'm an old gamer, i have old tricks up in my sleeves and sometimes its enough to give you some pointers for you to find your own ways to dig up the solution for your system specs. Anyway, here are a few pointers.

What is the error message your getting?(if your getting "operating system not supported' message. Press 'continue' and the game should starts, if the button is available at the bottom)

I've you tried to update/downgrade your nVidia Driver?(http://www.geforce.com/drivers/ and in the driver description look for I Am Alive rated, if it says GOOD or better then try it).

Also: This is for someone that don't want to install the oldest NViDiA driver. This problem happen after an update the NViDiA driver. Try this: open up NViDiA Control Panel>Manage 3D Settings>Program Settings, find IAmAlive_game.exe and then at "Select the preferred graphic processor for this program:" change to "High-performance NViDiA processor".

I've you tried to temporarily disabling SLI/Crossfire?(this game is not designed to be compatible with Crossfire and SLI setups. Guide to do this: http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch001167.htm)

Did you tried to see through this site(http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri) if you can run this game?

In the setting file(mentioned in my previous post), have you put your FPS?

-Whish you the best of luck
@Κοῖος, Hi
Graphics cards: Gtx670 / 2048, Asus gtx670-DC2T-2GD5
Processor: Core i5-2500k, 3.30GGts, 6MB, LGA1155
Motherboard: Asus P8Z77-V LX (s1155, Intel Z77, PCI-Ex16)

I read that it was a mistake by developers on all graphics cards gtx600 model. And they do not want to fix it.
Hi, before I take it further, did you tried any of my suggestions?

Guys, first time that i'm posting in the Steam Community. I used to be a big gamer and used to get involved into finding solutions for bugs in various games, one could say it was an habit.

My son got that game for me but I was never been able to playing it because of the error mentioned by all(I've seen many thread for this problem), so I didn't bother with it. Now, my son wants to play this game and I've totally forgotten about this error, so old habits come back fast and I was able to find a solution and my son wanted me to share it with you guys(can't blame a son to be proud of is Dad now can yah).

Its a simple 2 steps operation. First, thanks in part to Bumblesheet and <(XvX)> Kleriker™ from this community. Here is what to do, go in this folder:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\I am Alive\src\SYSTEM

Once there, find and open this file:

UserSettings.ini

Verify under [SystemValidation] that RunValidation is set to False.

Then, under [DefaultVideoOptions], FullscreenViewportX & FullscreenViewportY must be set to your desktop resolution. Then, still under [DefaultVideoOptions], WindowedViewportX & WindowedViewportY are set lower than your current resolution. Last, do the sam as above under [UserVideoOptions.IAAPlayer].

Step 2, find and rename the following file's extention to .BAK

systemdetection.dll to systemdetection.dll.BAK

Ok your all set to give it a try and hopefuly able to play.

My system specs:
Windows 7 64 bits
Nvidia Quadro FX 1700
Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Quad CPU Q9450 @ 2.66GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.7GHz
DirectX 11
This solution worked for me. Thanks for posting
[SOLUTION] delete usersetting.ini in the system folder and then run the game again :)
