Why my save progress disappeared?

After the game crashes, I reboot my PC to check the files and when I started the game one more time; all my progress were lost, with just the option the start a new game. Anybody had the same problem as me?

Just started playing this game yesterday, and only got to the point at the beginning where you rescue the little girl (Mei). I mostly hated the game yesterday due to poor gameplay mechanics, ugly graphics and lack of actual exploration options. Today, when I tried to play the game, it took me all the way back to the first guy in the sewer with the gun. F this game! Back to Skyrim!!!

Yeah - I got to Episode 15 - Blue Hotel yesterday. I loaded her up today and my only option was to satrt a new game. Aaaaaarrrrggghhhhh! Hours of gameplay - GONE! If anyone has any idea how to retrieve the saved files or stop this from happening again - please, please let me know.

The save file is on my laptop.... It's possible that I'm responsible for messing this up, as I moved all my game files to another location. I don't recall where it was originally ... Can anyone help me re-map the save file to the correct path please?

Realize this is way late as well. I am having the SAME issue. I got to the girl, Mei, and it keeps resetting back to the sewers. I've had this happen like 5x. I'm about to give up. I played this on PS3 without issue.

I was in Sequence 6 and now I might have lost all of my progress.'

'That sucks, I had to turn off the cloud syncing myself earlier and had lost progress, losing 6 sequences would suck pretty badly. Here was the info I got from Ubisoft:

"The cloud servers check file information when syncing and will update to the latest used profile. This information is synced to the cloud upon closing your game. Unfortunately, there is no way to manually download a savegame file from the servers.

Unfortunately, if your save file is not available in-game, there is no way to recover the data. I recommend that you disable the cloud sync feature via the Uplay Client options to prevent any future issues.

I also recommend that you use a third-party game save manager such as GameSave Manager in case the issue reoccurs:

He didn't tell me where the data is stored, but it might the the data inside:

I'm having the same problem but on Steam where savegames are located in the documents folder. The last time the game saves is in chapter 2, when you enter the sewers after the introduction. :(
