Game won't start, no error message

I've read some of the other threads about this not liking windows 10, and my first thought was to run it in compat mode for win 7, but still nothing. Launching through the exe or through steam will bring up the "preparing to launch I Am Alive" dialog from steam, which will then close itself and open repeatedly every second or two indefinately.

I'm out of ideas at this point, since none of the windows compatability options seem to help, I've tried verifying the files with no luck as well.

if it wasn't clear, the game doesnt open at all. not in task manager as a background service, nothing. I don't even get the "operating system not supported" error message most others talk about.

For reference I'm using windows 10 build 1809

Maybe try validating the game files or just uninstall and reinstall again. Failing that check that you don't have anti virus or firewall software that might be blocking it(unlikely but can happen).

it seems to work now after a few restarts. I was having a similar issue with DO5LR that was resolved by restarting steam, it's likely this fixed my issue here as well

Ah yes, that old restart trick haha. Enjoy the game man, its pretty good once you get into it.
