each looking at a tiny ar5e screen in stupid r3tarded splitscreen mode. stupidest multiplayer concept EVER
Hate to break it to you, but that is how Local Co-Op has always been bud.
There are TWO TYPES of co-op. Network (or internet) and LOCAL.
VERY few pc games have LOCAL co-op, meaning being able to have two people play on the same machine and same game, at the same time.
This is one of only a limited number that even allow you to play with a freind on the same pc. You might be a PC only player and think this is silly, but you might just want to be thankfull it was included at all.
If you want to play on seperate screens understand that most games will allow this, as long as you have a second computer and copy for it...
you clearly dont know sh8t. look at trine / trine 2// local co op on SEPERATE computers via lan .. the ONLY tim e i have seen this local mp sh8t splitscreen is on that game galo / halo
And you my friend are obviously sheltered AND a bit of a jerk. Next time try a little research or just keep your blatant and limited views to yourself.
Here is a little history and some facts for ya...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cooperative_gameplay
Once you have READ THE WHOLE PAGE come back and continue your ignorant rambles please.
As for my direct rebut...
UNDERSTAND THE DEFINITIOON OF LOCAL
Local means ON THE SAME PC not on the network. Co-op over two computers on the network is NETWORKED co-op which can be on a LOCAL network (LAN) or ONLINE (WAN)....
The ability to understand the dual definition of a word depending on its usage is a skill you learn in English class (assuming you took that in school).
The reason you don’t see split screen on PC is because its rare. It far more common on the console side. That was the point of "you should be happy you have it" as MOST PC titles will REQUIRE a second computer to play co-op via LAN.
If the only split screen game you have seen co-op in is Halo then you are VERY sheltered in the gaming community and should get out more before you begin spewing BS into forums.
Thanks.
PS> Had you not been such a jerk in your post I might have treated you less like a child and more like an adult in this post. Might help you in the future.
Another split screen PC game would be Blur, if you want another PC example.
L4D series with mods
Examples of split screen co-op on Consoles:
All Halo games
Many COD Games
Most Mario Games
L4D
The list is almost endless. If the game has co-op modes chances are about 8/10 that one or more modes will feature split screen play.
If you dont like co-op and dont want to play it mind you own buisness and dont go insulting others or spewing misinformation like you are a child who does not know better.
Unless ofcourse you ARE a little child who doesnt know any better, which would make allot more sence. (fits the 1/2 leetspeak every other word)
He is just mad he has no real life friends, only internet friends, therefore can not take advatnage of the LOCAL coop which most PC devs tend to not add. Personally, I would prefer local coop in these games because only ♥♥♥♥ like Kano play online nowadays.
im fine with local play, i could play it with either my 2 children or missis ect. but this so called local is SPLITSCREEN on the same PC .. to me that is so stupid. LAN co op should of been added, not splitscreen crap lol ,
yet again, you are failing to understand the definition of local co-op. If you are on a second computer over lan it IS NOT LOCAL CO-OP.
Local co-op, by definition, means ON THE SAME GAMEING DEVICE. it has always been this way since splitscreen/shared-screen co-op of the 1980's.
The very existance of the modern Unix OS is becuase two college sutdents were tired of LOCAL pong play and wanted to play across two computers on the campus network. Now thw whole internet runs on Unix (or linux).
If you are "fine" with local play then you are fine with the same screen. If you dont like sharing the same screen you are NOT "fine" with local play, and need to study definitions a bit more to understand the meaning of local vs network.
lol
LOCAL AREA NETWORK.. fk you are dense
"LOCAL AREA NETWORK"
I am well aware of what a LAN is, as am I aware of what a WAN (wide area network) is. I defined BOTH and the differance between them and LOCAL CO-OP (as used in industry termage for game labeling) in one of my previous posts.
At this point I have clearly defined for you the diferance between LOCAL co-op (as used for game labeling for the past 15+ years) vs netwrok co-op (both LAN and WAN). I have also linked you to the wiki clearly defining both.
The key word is network. before calling one dense you need to AGAIN go back and learn the definitions. READ FFS DA

edit: I can't say ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥? Okay then, "mentally challenged" people.
