I have 3 https://scryfall.com/card/thb/19/heliods-intervention in my 150 card black/white deck I actually took the cleansing novas out as they always seem to come up when I've got good artifacts/enchantments on the board as well, it's nice to draw Heliods when you're playing against shrines

the trick is carrying mostly non-creatures for win conditions too so you can keep wiping their creatures out

I have very few creatures in the deck, but it sucks losing my dawn of hope or my cosmos elixir to a wipe

Make a deck with only board clears. You don't even need a wincon. Just rely on the opponent quitting after 1 or 2.

They are cop-outs to actually have a solid deck, it's literally just "remove everything untill i get a win condition card" Generally drawing more cards will win against them because delaying the board is the only thing they have, but Farewell exists, so even if you get a card draw they can remove it.

Basically instead of making a real deck, they just delay the game untill they can pull out some ridiculously OP card and hope it's not removed or that the opponent doesn't have card draw (or use a Farewell so it doesn't matter) and win by having more cards.

It's basically like a cheat code saying "opponent starts with 5 less cards" Even if you don't over commit, they will still have the card advantage no matter what you do because their entire deck is board wipes removal and drawing cards.

IT's still possible to win, because board wipers have no real skill or deck just spam board wipes and pull out an OP card, but it's not even worth it lol

I say this because i've done it, done it quite a bit, and even though i won a 30 minute game (not even exaggerating lol) i think i would've just conceded if i had to do it again... it's just not fun to spend 30 minutes doing a few points of damage at a time then having everything wiped constantly.

I started trying to make interesting decks with themes.

Then i got tired of losing to the removal spams and made one myself.

Much easier, much more lolz.

Black/white with a palantir seems to be the meta version. Doomblade Sacrifice Palantir Sacrifice Doomblade Sunfall.

Its funny when you come across another removal spammer and youre just both staring at eachother with a handfull of murders/counters.
