What is the best dual color decks to invest in as a F2P player?
I'm a new player with 37 common, 39 uncommon, 15 rare, and 7 mythic wildcards and planning to brew a competitive deck to climb the ladder. As per my understanding, i should prioritize using my rares to craft dual lands. So, whats the best two color combo/decks to invest in so i don't have to craft more dual lands but still have variety/competitiveness/fun with that two color combo/decks? I'm not gonna be too picky but i don't prefer straight up aggro or control decks because i don't find much fun in those types of decks. Midrange, tribal, ramp, toxic, enchantments, spellslinger, etc (any color though) are kind of my thing. Thanks :3

black and white hands down. You can run a dual bat life gain/drain, cat/angel gain deck. Also historically it has the best synergy imo. The previous sets like the black/white knight stuff was amazing on Alchemy.

pick your favourite colours using the colour pie. Stuff changes and updates but within the boundaries of the colour pie.

Midrange, tribal, enchantments, strong in white. Spellslinging without control is red for sure, but black has a lot of cheap destroy and discard spells. Green has the best ramp and toxic, but doesn't work as well as enchantments or spellslinging.

lifegain is either very fragile or slow as an archetype, wouldn't recommend in the current Standard meta. u gotta run it with a wincon and the only one that really meshes with the deck in standard is the infinite combo, and people are watching for it and should be carrying enough removal to shut it down

oh that might be relevant, which format are you thinking? Standard is fast at the moment, Historic has a much bigger pool so more varied decks

Yeah i'm kinda leaning towards simic or selesnya a bit because simic has temp, ramp, and some form of toxic right? Whilst selesnya has auras/enchantments and the overlord deck in current standard. But i'm still torn between them, any suggestions?

I think you could go the prowess route with that archetype

haha the classic mono black. It's kinda heavy on the mythic and rares, no?

If you want to go toxic, selesnya will almost certainly be better than simic once aetherdrift releases (and bant is better than both). If you don't want to spend many mythic or rare wildcards, forget about the overlord decks because they are extremely wildcard hungry.

If you want an arena budget friendly two colour deck for standard outside the lands, Simic Terror is the way to go. Most lists run maybe half a dozen nonland rares and mythics. Google it for a full list but at its core, it's all about playing cheap instants and sorceries to fill your graveyard to discount tolarian terror and eddymurk crab, tempo plays with TTaBE (and stormchaser talent loops) and up the beanstalk generating card advantage when casting any of the big discounted spells. The land count is very low (17-18) because cards like bushwhack generally function as lands in the deck. It's not tier 1 but it's definitely competitive.

If you're fine going 3 colours, esper pixie is tier 1 and has about as many rares and mythics outside the manabase. The 3 colour manabase is more of an investment with rares and mythics though.
