Why bring discard & counters with Rusko?
Rusko is good enough on his own no need to use these broken mechanic with him

for **** sake just stop

Heh people aren't content with broken. They must maximize the brokenness and discomfort they create. There is no helping it.

i'm serious though for the record
i use rusko with no counter no discard and he's still good
folks don't give in to popular demand
stop countering and discarding today!

Oh man I used to love Rusko when he was in Alchemy. First deck I made myself involved him and Sauron and a bunch of Amass Orcs spells (and then spells to kill my own orcs cause it turns out a Pacifism not only makes your 20 power army useless, it makes every Amass card in your deck useless), back when the LOTR set was in. Good times, terrible deck.

Well no he isn't, at least not in Brawl where my experience with him comes from. He needs a lot of help to become relevant.

It’s online so people are free to play toxic af decks and feel good about themselves. It’s their power trip.

most decks i think are aiming for the cast trigger on rusko, so this is a bit fiddly, but flickering him is a neat way to ♥♥♥♥ mill decks over

okay i need to clear up this misconception:

we're not playing solitaire with control decks. we're playing "♥♥♥♥ you and your plans".

i've decided if ur gonna paint control as the villain to just lean into it. I'm adding more boardwipes and a sideline in heist.

4-of thoughtseize why thank you i think i will
To be fair, opponents in Magic are already your villains. Some are just more competent/ruthless and/or have better resources/knowledge. I do scruple somewhat with casual games but I know that's really a fool's errand and people will likely not follow suit.
