Unrestricted red mana dorks
Tarkir is apparently the start of this being in Red's colour pie, and the intent is to make things other than fast aggro viable in red, what do we think

Tarkir is one of my favorite planes. More than excited to return.

It's mostly a change to make red more viable in commander, since it's always been the weakest in a format where life count is 40 and player count is 4.
Red's been really good in... basically every format arena specializes in. But I don't think it'll end up changing the meta. Too slow.

I think its more of a buff to XR rather than RDW. Mana dorks are still far too slow for what RDW, so it doesn't seem too crazy.

yeah, you said it better than I did. Giving red dorks won't give incentive to play slower, outside of Commander obviously. It's dubious in Gruul since it just has better ramp options. Maybe it'll fit into Rakdos? I think Mardu is probably the only color combo that's gonna really want these. Good for them, they need all the help they can get.

Always felt red deserved something like utopia sprawl for one red but was an enchant land for red mana only, like lava flows or something, this won't work in "Arena" I agree, more so when their thing that give haste + treasure for 1 drop.

But yeah, probably more geared towards commander, or trying to make slower red decks viable in casual play.
I'm not sure if it makes the cut at 1 toughness for 2 mana though.

they're probably talking about running out 1-2 a set from now on tho
I seem to recall a big red deck back in the day, they say red mana dorks are there to give red options in addition to all-in aggro. And outside of Tarkir, when I think of dragons I think red, so this may have something to do with it, dragons will be popular for a bit now.
