facing decks running tier 0 cards isn't fun when it keeps happening in a row. smothering tithe into rystic study. then cabereti revels into arming gala. no thanks, I closed the game and have no desire to play anymore today. Your matchmaker has cured me of the need to play MTG. Have a good day!

It's not going to be part of arena they've already stated this so remember going forward that if you're gonna drop Arena for Commander Online or w/e they call it you're going to be face with a.) having to buy/earn a whole collection again from the ground up again or b.) it'll be maybe be pay-2-play but even if not everyone will have the same pool of cards meaning you'll be faced with the same problem of only seeing 3-5 decks within a week. Not sure how I feel about commander with 2 people running the same deck and the 3rd running the deck 2 people ran last game.

In what world are smothering tithe and rhystic study top tier in 1v1 brawl? They're good in 4 player commander because they scale well with the number of players. In commander, if people don't pay the 2, smothering tithe pays itself off in a bit over a turn cycle (less if there are additional draws which again, is more common in commander than brawl). In brawl it takes 4 turn cycles so it doesn't really ramp well.

In 1v1, people are far more likely to pay the 1 for rhystic study and there are less opponents casting spells and there's less pressure on them to build up a board state quickly because their only opponent took a turn off to cast rhystic study. If they're playing on curve, you set them back a turn by spending your own turn to do so. If they weren't curving out, you spent a turn basically doing nothing. It is bad in 1v1.

the tier system is based on the more sophisticated system arena uses for brawl. stop playing atraxa.
