"gl hf" has been said at the start of many online video games since the beginning of time
unlike "gg" you typically say "gl hf" at the beginning of a match rather than the middle or end
i always saw it as a sign of friendlyness
i think opponents wishing each other "good luck" is usually not meant condescendingly
You could use good luck after you mill someone out, after you discard their entire hand, after your counter their spell for the 3rd time in a row, good luck can be used outside of just "good luck", same thing with have fun you could say it after you've discarded your opponents card etc.
i use these as an alternative to the old hello
Again I believe that some people like you and I that would use them for good intent, but as with anything I'm sure they'd be used in a way to make people angry as well sadly.
What do you mean complain? Did it look like we were disagreeing about anything? Not everything is conflict just because we're talking about our views.
Your the only one seemingly trying to argue, our conversation had nothing to do with you and we both didn't feel that way, your opinion is yours to have but don't try to claim that theirs conflict between us, k thanks.
I think it would also be neat if they had some none-english emotes, or if emotes words corresponded to your game language.
lotta things upset me... guess we should just ban skibitiys too!!
