The Arena shuffler is flawed and is more likely to give you floods and droughts than paper.

this. The arena shuffler is garbage. it's why I refuse to invest any money. Can't trust it compared to paper.

24 lands, 36 cards = 60 card deck. Arena shuiffler is biased, but MTGA is still best digital version of MTG.
Every ~5 or so cards + 1 land. You can tweak that formula if you have mana artifacts. Shuffler also acts strange with non-basic lands, so if you have fancy lands be ready for a lot of 1-2 land starting hand mulligans.

The shuffler is fine. In Bo1, there is hand smoothing, so you will get a starting seven that is closer to what your deck has, but that should help, if you have enough lands.

Let's see your decklist. I do run one deck with only 20 lands, but the top of the curve is just three and I can win with just two lands. It's very low to the ground. It is also only two colours and has three playsets of duel lands, so that helps.

BUT, and this is a big butt, for most decks, 24 lands is what you are looking at. In fact, if you have three or more colours, you might need up to 27.

--------------------

So anyway, post your decklist and I'll have a look.

It looks like you drew through half your deck, in which case, drawing that many lands is average.

it was my turn 8. 12 land by turn 8 is rough in any situation even if I didn't draw 3 at once. Le shuffler le sux.

You should switch to a full on landfall deck, but then you'll probably get land screwed lol

It totally does that to me. I consider the first few games after changing a deck as the deck punishing me until it gets settled in.

No. The more cards you draw, the more land you will draw. That's how math works. Your graveyard looks bigger than your library, so getting half of your lands is normal. The shuffler doesn't suck. You are just bad at math.

I remember I ran into back to back planeswalker heavy decks, so I tossed 3 elderspells in my deck and low and behold I never saw a planeswalker for 4 straight games after that, so I removed 2 of the 3 elderspells from the deck and low and behold I ran into 2 planeswalkers in the first 6 turns on the next opponent, I proceeded to remove the other elderspell from my deck, laugh about it all then came to the conclusion that the spell should be 1 cost more and have cycling, anyway that's my story

This is called confirmation bias.
