The same discussion in every. single. game. with. true. randomness.
Statistical analyses prove that the Magic-Arena shuffler is truly random.

True randomness, of course, also means that someone can AND WILL get laughably bad cards 100 times in a row!!! With so many players, that's extremely likely to happen. It's not a proof that it's "rigged". Randomness doesn't give you the average result. A bad event is not automatically followed by a good one. THAT'S NOT HOW IT WORKS. It's a gamblers fallacy.

Your dissatisfaction results from a) bad luck or b) selective memory.
No wonder that many companies now create algorithms that only fake randomness (but prevent players from getting bad cards several times in a row).

I caN'T even compromise with the amount of destroy creature spells I can't counter unless with blue counterspell. Needs work with more wards for a good battle and counter seigeing for more protection for the planewalkers

You have to get 3 lands in your starting hand after a full mulligen, if you start with 2 lands you get significant less lands.
Or better ... dropd this bs game its rigged af.

Yeah, there is a thing with the shuffler.

Everything else is pretty decent, but the land draws can be downright unrealistic . Been playing since 2018, it has gotten better for the most part but you still get these streaks where you get mana screwed.

Just got 4 "Play with Fire" cards alltogether. Not rigged.

People dont want total randomness. they want rigged hands where they never get a bad hand ever. You guys are using the word wrong and you dont even know it. How can you expect a good hand every game and not call that rigged???

Been playing for nearly that long and you not having trouble drawing lands in that entire time, until arena, is definitely not possible. Its been a meme for players for years to get mana flooded/screwed. Maybe you just forget you house mulligan in paper until you get a hand you are fine with? Its ok every magic player has done the same on the kitchen table but at the end of the day, that's not how the game is meant to be played. Cant blame an official client for not following house rules.

I am of the same mentality. Been playing magic since the early 90s. No matter how good your deck is. You will have bad hands and get mana flooded or not draw any mana. No clue what these people are talking about. This has been a feature of the game since its birth.

trust me no one is a worse card shuffler than myself lol

Just had a game where I got flooded with 13 lands. That doesn't happen in real life unless you're playing with an unshuffled, preconstructed deck you just bought. I noticed this happens less often if you add less than 24 lands in a standard deck, sweet spot for me is 22 lands at most in a 60 card deck, unless I'm playing landfall. Then there are times where I won't go over 2 lands despite drawing a third of my deck... This happens far too often for it to be random.

This absolutely does happen in paper magic. Just like you drawing 13 spells, no lands, in a row can happen. It's just the nature of the game. I understand its frustrating, I really do. There's been stints in my own life where I don't play magic for years because I get frustrated with the need for lands. This attitude of just blaming it on a 'rigged' shuffler isn't going to change the fact that is just a fact of the game. I think Judy said it best in that you all on this board don't actually want randomness but a client that gives you perfect hands every game, because then and only then will the game not be 'rigged'
If the game is rigged how is it that your opponent is drawing lands just fine?

Do you concede matches? I have found through trail and error that the game does not like you to concede to much. If you Concede a match way to often you will get bad draw, and bad opening hands.

I believe it's done to discourage quitting, unless necessary. On the load screen prompt it explains what I mean, it will read "Don't give up, everyone likes a good comeback story". To me that alone states the game would like you to participate until the end of the match, so that everyone may receive a percieved "fair" and enticing match. The game was design to do so.

Now as to how many loses are mixed in with your wins is hard to say and I believe based slightly on how you play cards. How you play them determines what you draw, as opposed to a truly random draw.

Designing the game like this helps stimulate real competitive gaming experiences which can drive sales. Sales keep everything here that we "enjoy" afloat. It is good and bad game design but hey I can't do any better lol. Just my take.

Because if he has problems with lands, he will not be able to win against you. Wizard choose your opponent because they can leave him win. And they do all they can to give your opponent a victory. Wizard watchs only economic balance of all players and they choose opponent and winner in fonction of this. If you spend no money, wizard will put a spoke in your wheel. Wizard has two goals WR of 50% +/- 10 % and pushing players to pour money down the drain.

And for this they cheat with a false random generator. Compare random on Magic the gathering Shandalar developped by microprose and random magic games sold on steam, you will see wizard cheats in duels of planeswalkers serie and arena games.
