It could seldom happens... issue is just that it happens really (too) often ! (5 times on 20 games this afternoon)
Honestly I've never had land troubles like you describe, not that much anyway not 70%+
edit: if you have cards that are very expensive. you want to add more than 24 and add cards that will draw out lands as well.
A guy on reddit analyzed over a millio samples and the shuffler was found to be be extremely off. They tried to patch it since then but it’s still worse at shuffling than the average player.
Also it’s rigged.
