Is nowhere to run bugged?
I play it and opponents creatures still have ward abilities... am i missing something or just totally misunderstanding the text? thanks in advance.

The creatures should still have ward, the ward ability just shouldn't trigger. So if you hover over their card, it should still show that it has ward but if you target it, ward shouldn't trigger. If ward does still trigger, then that's an issue.

yeah it says "can be targeted as if they don't have ward" right? well, u might need to keep track of which cards are vulnerable only bc you have Nowhere To Run in play, ie which ones actually have ward or hexproof.

In the rules it's probably to do with it being a "replacement effect" if u wanna read more about the precise interactions

The text doesn't say "creatures your opponent control lose ward". It says "ward abilities do not trigger".

In practice they are the same thing.

ahh i just started back playing from like tempest and exodus and i have never ran across someone that has ward abilities and was misunderstanding the card. I was thinking the ward itself was the ability. User error lol thx again.

Another garbage black card to nullify hexproof, as if 40 removals in ♥♥♥♥♥♥ black deck werent enough.

are there even like, three black cards that nullify hexproof?

I have a couple of white ones in my deck and a lot of the ways of granting it are vulnerable to green but I don't see it in black a lot.

anyway in the universe next door this thread is someone complaining about how ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ it is that cards can shut down ur game and protect u and themselves from spells with Ward: sacrifice three permanents or Shroud.

My bad for using 'garbage' word. I didnt mean that this card is bad so it is garbage, I meant its annoying like the rest of garbage black decks, and it wasnt needed as black is full of removals anyway to the point I started using hexproof instants to protect my creatures. But now it doesnt work as it nullifies ward and hexproof and is another removal on top of that.
But yea its also good against Valgavoth, so Wotc creates one ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ card to fight it with another ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ card.

I thought ward still triggers but you don't have to pay it. You decline to pay ward and then your spells should resolve as normal (this is for uncounterable cards)

white has mass removal, black has targeted removal, blue has temporary removal (tucking and bouncing), green has creature-powered removal (fight), and red has damage-based removal.

there's a good reason why

I think the -3/-3 resolves first. After that resolves then it negates ward abilities.

Seems to be a way to counter Valgavoth, Maha, Ygra, Gisa, and Vein Ripper

No. Stopping ward is a static effect that is always active as soon as it's on the battlefield. The -3/-3 is a triggered ability than goes on the stack when it enters and by the time it's on the stack and selecting targets, the card is already on the battlefield and it's static effect is active.
