Magic: The Gathering Arena

Magic: The Gathering Arena

70% matches the game picks opponents with counter decks or same deck
I been playing mtg arena for years with 1729h 38m under my belt, also played the magic the gathering online as well. but mtg arena is one of the worse games i played with match making. not only it picks opponents to counter your deck once you lose it will ask you if your happy. I tested today with 4 different decks first black discard which made me face 3 black discard decks in a row, then tried white blue enchant then white green enchant and finally full white enchant, this is no lie out of 14 games 12 of them has been enchantment decks which are same as mine. i am seriously fed up after spending thousands of dollar in this game. thinking about uninstalling at this point

Hey maybe don't play a meta deck. I've never seen somebody play a deck similar to mine.
Mirror matches are used to shift meta and push deck winrates towards 50%. That's they working theory i have

Yes, they do, and it sucks. When I see that, I just let it time out or quit. I'm not into playing the same colors. However, you can use this to your advantage. I run a mono-blue deck for dailies that always wins. I rarely face anything hard. Hardly ever black, and the red I see is the dino deck, which I crush every time.

My experience has been different i play black/white reanimator and red/white tokens in standard.
I also play red/blue phoenix and blue/black rogues in historic on top of that i also have ''fun decks'' for both formats.

No matter what deck i play in standard most of my games are against mono red leyline and blue/white control.
In historic most of my games are against mono green elves and mono white lifegain.

I know they use matchmaking to create ''more fun matchups'' (i think they did an article on it when MTGA started) but never has it shifted so hard decks vanished form the game when i swapped deck.

its the same problems ever set. the best strategies are often the newest cards that have over powered cards so they sell. or basic combos that dont allow your opponent to play. stun locking is very effective. but also so boring I will just stall if you start removing my hand turn 1.

my suggestion is dont pay for anything.

There is little fun in the game when the best strategies are boring to play against.
Dont take my hand, play your own cards. If its in play or graveyard its fair game but I keep getting my cards stolen and left with only lands in my deck / stun locked / or some op 2 card win combo in the new set on turn 4. The new black meta is OP and boring to play against. stun lock, wait 30min. win.
