they did hand out wildcards regardless i got 2 rare wildcards at the same time as ban notification

if you have the patience to go through the effort of submitting and following a ticket then yea i guess it's worth it

then again they might respond with something like "we made no promise to give wildcards"

Yep, I got 4 rare wildcards. Anytime there's a ban on MTGA, they give out wildcards. Players will usually craft the cards before the update if they don't already have them, because you can usually still use them in other formats or direct challenges and you get the wildcards back.

Players who had Leyline Resonance as part of their MTG Arena collections prior to this ban's implementation will receive rare wildcards equal to the number of Leyline Resonances in their collection. Players will receive an in-game notification of when the card is banned, which will include the number of wildcards they have received.

It's literally one of the top decks what are you talking about. Sure it can't win on turn 2, but with leyline banned it's basically the new top deck.
