A friend of mine joking said they region locked the daily deals and I can't help chuckling and thinking he might be onto something, lol.
please
a) 3400 gems
b) 4 mythic rare wild cards
c) ~8 rare wild cards
A token deck that contains 6 mythic rares, 34 rares and 12 uncommons supposedly costs 23072 gems without a discount. 6 mythic rare wild cards and 34 rare wild cards can be bought for equivalent of total 19.450 gems. I have discount, because I have some cards, and for me the price is 10710 gems. I'm missing 6 mythic rares, 28 rares and 11 uncommons. 6 mythic rare wild cards and 28 rare wild cards can be bought for equivalent of total 17.000 gems.
Conclusion: the non-discounted price seems to be highly overpriced, but the discounted price saves 37% of the cost that would be required to do the same thing with wildcards. The non-discounted is definitely misleading. Imo both deals still seem to be overpriced to me - for 90€ I could buy multiple standalone games or 1-2 AAA games. But everyone might have a different opinion about the value of those decks.
In gems game says 5600 which is less than 40e (6+11,5+22,5) to buy 5750 gems, or 55 euro (still less than 61) to buy 9200 gems and ~3.5k gems will remain.
Seems like if you have some cards buying deck for gems is cheaper than buying wildcards.
And is it worth overall, probably not because for 60e I can have half of deck or full AAA video game. But in terms on Magic prices- its still cheaper than paper.
