Read the damned card
the discard bat is overrated, my deck mostly has 1-2 cost flash, so I just flash in a card after the discard. Honestly flash just stomps discard unless your running something stupid like pure 5+ cmc flash. Your opponent cast a discard, you flash out a creature, doing this every time forces the discard player to have to keep up with a destroy or 2 every turn plus try to play their discard cards, they sputtered out pretty quick in my experience, add stoic sphinx and you got a flash flying 5/3 for 4 that gets hexproof till you cast something.
fine two removals
think of it as a buy one get one free bogo
might even be able to cast the removal as they're trying to steal it
me i run mostly retarded removals (sorcery instead of instant) and i have no issues with that ONE/ONE creature
anyone that struggles to deal with a ONE/ONE creature might need to stay in practice mode
