"Foundations" Jumpstart
Perhaps I'm missing something, but... wouldn't it make more sense if the cards from "Foundations Jumpstart" would be legal in the same formats "Foundations" is legal? Or are those cards just meant to be illegal by design?

No, a lot of them are not legal in standard. Typical WOTC move to make stuff that seems like it would be easy to understand into something convoluted.
Lol
New player buys foundations jumpstart

Some cards are/will be available in standard/alchemy (because reprints are a thing), but yeah, most of them will be useless. They should've at least write the warning with a red font instead of leaving it white.

I see this more like this:
- new player buys multiple foundations jumpstarts
- notices they're illegal in his favourite game formats
- tries to play those cards in Historic format
- gets wrecked in 3rd/4th/5th turn all the time
- quits magic

wtf is even the point of this "hidden set" that isn't legal to play?
Did we get a jumpstart? I can get alchemy cards and standard.
Yes, we already have access to the new Foundations Jumpstart. Gonna copy from another thread:
How many Foundations Jumpstart mythic rares are legal in:
- Alchemy - 2
- Standard - 1
- Explorer - 15
- Historic - 31
- Timeless - 32
- Brawl - 31
How many Foundations Jumpstart rares are legal in:
- Alchemy - 9
- Standard - 11
- Explorer - 56
- Historic - 100
- Timeless - 100
- Brawl - 100
So new Foundations Jumpstart has some cards legal in Alchemy and Standard, but it's mainly for Historic/Timeless/Brawl formats. Explorer format contains approximately 50% of
those cards.

Depends on whether you're talking about hot dogs or hot dogs.
