How do I install this on Linux?
I'm trying to install MTG on Linux, but all I can find are outdated videos telling me to install Lutris (which doesn't work). I tried running the .exe with Wine (if that's how you're supposed to do it), but that didn't work either. Any ideas for installation?

Go to Steam>Settings>Compatibility
Enable Steam Play for all other titles
Run other titles with: Proton Experimental

This will allow you to run most games on Linux without having to do anything additional (provided you're launching them through Steam).

Stupid ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ jokes aside, it runs ok on the Steam Deck in my experience, so it CAN be done, and I guess one way would be to use whatever distro Valve is using for the Deck

It uses a custom distro called SteamOS 3.0, which is based on Arch. It isn't desktop ready yet. It can be installed on a desktop computer, but it's not ideal at the moment. One of these days. (seems to be an nvidia related issue holding them back)

Arch itself runs steam games wonderfully through proton though. A friend of mine uses Manjaro which is also based on Arch but is much more novice friendly.

For anyone that's new to Linux and wants to game, I highly recommend checking out Nobara Linux. It's based on Fedora and comes prepackaged with everything you need to game/stream.
