Devs stop f****** weighting the cards!
I have 4 world trees in a 62 card deck and I get hands like this way more frequently than statistically possible. This f***** my game. Yes, I want the card. NOT THREE IN THE GD OPENING HAND EVERY OTHER GAME! Get rid of the weighted cards in the shuffler. Make it random according to number of cards vs deck size like it should be. This isn't fun, it's annoying af and coupled with how you weight the matchmaker as well going to kill this game. Also fire whoever thought this was a good idea. Fire them, rehire them, then fire them again.

What is being confessed here? It's always been known there is a tier system for Brawl, now we just have access to the values. That's not rigging, that's proper fair¹ matchmaking.

¹at least an attempt at being fair... whether it's effective or not is arguable.

That's why the article starts out with, "The rating system behind MTG Arena's matchmaking system has been leaked!".

It wasn't leaked, they were caught and this article is damage control.

Caught doing... what? Using a value system to evaluate the strength of Brawl decks in an attempt to create fair matches, just like they've been claiming to do the entire time? This was not news to anyone that paid any attention to how things work in Arena. It's always been known there is a tier system, we just didn't know the values of individual cards... now we do.

At this point I'm convinced they just want to pick on noobs. I don't see the point in playing with weaker players. You can't improve your deck and gameplay if you aren't constantly challenged.

Yes, weighting cards. Did you read the title of the thread? The got caught weighting cards.

In what way are they "picking on noobs"? The claim here is that players are being matched based on card weights. That means top tier decks get matched with top tier decks, and low tier decks get matched with low tier decks... literally the exact opposite of picking on noobs.

They can't be "caught" if it wasn't something that was hidden in the first place. They have never denied that there is a tier system in Brawl. That's how you create a tier system, by weighting cards.

Sorry, I meant the people opposed the cards having weights.

So you are admitting that the other tiers are likely rigged as well.

What do you consider this rigging to consist of in detail?

Card weighting. I'm beginning to wonder if anyone bothers to read the title of threads.

There is such thing as a dumb question. People just say there is not to be nice.

In detail means "how is the weighting used". Yes literacy is a useful skill. As is critical thinking.

One of us must have trouble reading, because i can't see anywhere where he said that.

"That's how you create a tier system, by weighting cards" Explain how a tier system is created by weighting cards but is not rigged.

Do me a favor and look up the definitions to words instead of expecting me to explain them for you.

Okay, now how's that amount to an acknowledgement that there are weight systems outside of Brawl?
