Why do people Leave?
Why do people leave when I eliminate one of their key cards? I was playing against a blue player—I can't remember the name of their card—where I mill a card for every card I untap it was only turn 4. I also had a red player, and when I destroyed the card that deals one damage for every monster with one attack, they left too.

I mean.... There's probably an essay that could be written about why the nature of Arena promotes pre-emptive concessions.

In short:

1) You're mostly playing against people who you've never met, don't know who they are, and also can't even see or really communicate with your opponent. In short there's no social incentive to stay in the game.

2) You have very little to nothing invested in any particular game: Unless you're playing in a ranked game or an event of some kind there is absolutely no incentive to remain in a game that isn't going your way.

3) You can find another game within 60 seconds almost without fail.

So if someone is in a game that isn't working out for them the game gives them every reason to just concede & find a new opponent, & almost no reason to stick it out.
The only outliers here would be the more competitive parts of Arena - Ranked play & events which only allow a set number of losses.
It's been my experience that unranked opponents are (generally) very quick to scoop, Ranked opponents are a bit slower to scoop (although there is tremendous variation), & opponents in "competitive" events are liable to stick it out right up to the point they know they physically can't win the game.

Have you, you know, tried playing less boring decks?

My opponents are typically dorks running UW control and their one-trick pony of playing Wandering Emperor or Sunfall, and if that fails they throw tantrum and rage quit,

Or it's dork running mono black deck that only keeps spamming creature removals till they play Sheoldred.

In other words, both are extremely dull and boring types, so if I don't feel like it playing against exact same deck for 10th time today, I am just gonna quit.

In most cases you can determine the winner/loser within only a few rounds. After that the player on the losing side is essentially biding their time for a lucky draw or for the other player to mess up. Its like chess, once the outcome is foreseen you ask for a draw or concede. Its not seen as rude or unsportsmanlike, its just the way things are. In some cases I'd even say that staying in a losing match is rude as its just wasting everyone's time.

The difference between chess and MtG is hidden information. Only the player doing the conceding actually knows whether there's a possibility of them stabilizing or turning the tide, whereas in a game of chess both players have perfect information.

And even in chess, some of the most famous moments in the history of the game are someone in a losing position refusing to concede in an "unwinnable" position, and then winning anyway.

Why wouldn't you quit a match? Any time I see an opponent play an island, I immediately concede. Its just obnoxious to play against 99% of blue decks, so why wouldn't I just go find a new match?

I just quit as soon as I see the opponent has MTG cards. They're juts obnoxious to play against.

Literally every time I've lost it's cause the other guy was playing MTG cards. Absolutely broken, ban it all.

I mean why not? There's no penalty for leaving.
