Omniscience Draft Event

Like an illiterate idiot, I went through the draft having not read the crucial part of this event: THAT YOUR SPELLS DON'T COST MANA.

So I go through the draft doing normal draft things - looking after my curve, picking my colours, picking up dual lands to help with splashing etc - and only realise my mistake when I enter the first game and see glowing zeros on my cards.

Fortunately I managed to pick up Emrakul, the Promised End which got me my 3 wins, but I feel like I missed out on taking part properly on this one. Would have drafted very differently. Feels bad.

Wish Wizards really idiot-proofed the event on this one. A bright neon sign saying "READ THE BLOODY DESCRIPTION YOU IDIOT" perhaps, or let me resign and try the draft again maybe?

I hear you. I drafted a pretty mediocre deck even KNOWING it was going to be free spells only (no lands needed or wanted.) The thing I noticed that was key was getting spells/effects that drew extra cards. Even things that are normally just bad should have been high priority if they gave you a draw.

And I agree. The care for these events is pretty lowkey. Maybe even negligent. Live and learn right?

I screwed up because I didn't know about the emblem that gave you 1 free mana of each color per turn. So I knew spells were free, but included lands because I thought other stuff like card effects might not be. I do really wish there were an option to resign and rejoin.

connexion server issue every game, get 3 non play wins in 9 crash-games.
incredible experience of non-playing game, thanks mtga, never imagine that.
the more longer i see is the first turn of my opponent, down their hand on the board, and connexion issue...

Didn't read either. Picked all the low mana creatures and 2 colors only. I skipped 2 rares because of the colors.

Like a true Giga Chad I created a Izzet Aggro and notice something was fishy when my opponent just cast half their deck before my turn even began.
Very nice, 2/10 experience because wotc cannot allow to reset the draft.

The worst part of this (not speaking about myself of course) is wotc assuming magic players know how to read, such a complete ignorance of their player base like the indie developer they trully are in their soul.

There was an extra sign. Below the text was showed what you were getting in the draft. 3 boosters and an omniscience emblem. Was colorful and everything.

I feel bad when some opponents seem to have went right into the draft and draft as usual. I feel certain they don't usually allow us seven card hands as I know I've played some with three card limit which seems fair. I had some games where they opponent scooped before their first turn.

I wish there was more notification for it. I only want to play omniscience draft more than the other formats.
