Not enough cards to play

What's the point of offering it for free if you don't even have enough cards to build a deck?

I paid 50$ in the past and I'm suppose to pay again and again?

I have literally payed 0$ and have 75% of the cards for standard.

I mean, this point is kind of true, if you focus on a single deck type, like a meta deck or two, you can get the cards for it fast enough, but if you want to make a different color deck, good luck getting the cards, because it will take forever, and most of the cards you will get will be ones you can't use, so the only reliable way of getting the specific cards you want is the wildcards.

thats true even if you were to drop money on the game, the only difference is theres an option to directly purchase wildcards instead of rolling on packs

Tips for stretching your collection without needing more things:

1- look for redundancies instead of going out of your way to collect 4 copies of cards. The card name is irrelevant if the cards serve the same purpose in your deck.

2- never, EVER play standard. You simply will not get cards fast enough to build a collection AND keep up with the format.

3- build what YOU have, not what everyone else has.

Can't play standard because there's not enough cards to make a deck, and the only way to play alchemy is through the dual colour starter decks, which can't be played outside of duels because of said bug.

I appreciate the response. I've actually had a ticket open on this issue for 2 days, and I've yet to receive a non-automated response.

Kinda frustrating, especially considering this seems be an ongoing issue that hasn't been fixed for a long time.

Kinda frustrating, especially considering this seems be an ongoing issue that hasn't been fixed for a long time.

From several MTGA reddit posts that I've seen, it seems to affect mainly returning players who haven't updated their existing accounts for a long time. Somehow, their accounts become out of sync. I knew someone who also had this. They got this problem sorted out by contacting support in that link I mentioned. After confirming some account details, support just added the latest 10 2-color starter decks to their account.
